We know that Summer Olympic and  Paralympic 2016 were scheduled in Rio de Janerio. In every four years of intervals, International Olympic Committee organise these games.

Summer Olympic 2016 was held at Rio de Janerio (Brazil) scheduled between 5 August to 21 August. Rio de Janerio is the second-most populous municipality in Brazil, while Capital of Brazil is Brasilia. 

Two New Games Included in Rio 2016 Olympics:
In 2009 IOC (International Olympic committee) decided to add two new games in Olympic 2016-
1. Golf
2. Rugby
The last time Golf was played in Olympic games was in 1904 and Rugby was played in Olympic was in 1924.

(Note-I have ever seen there is a question on this topic in almost all competition exams.)

In Olympic 2016 at Rio total 28 games were included, while in London 2012 Olympic only 26 games were included.
i.e 26 + 2 new games = 28 Games in Rio 2016

Formerly total 120 athletes qualified, but 2 failed in doping test by NADA. 
1. Inderjeet Singh (Shot Put)
2. Narsingh Yadav (Wrestler, Freestyle 74 kg)

Note- Narsingh Yadav was slapped with a four-year ban by Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) for flunking a dope test after World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) challenged the clean chit given to him by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA).

Paralympic Sports

Paralympic Games 2016 is also going on at Rio de Janerio (Brazil) scheduled between 7 September to 18 September. 
"It's really an irony that nobody in India will be able to see a medal winning feat in the Paralympics in Rio," still now India has won 8 medals (2 Gold) in Paralympic Games.
Gocareer team wish "Good Luck" to players of India who are participating in Rio 2016 Olympics.
The Paralympic games also held at every four years of a gap for athletes who are suffering from various disabilities. Just like Olympics 2016 games in Paralympic game also India is going to send the largest delegation of 19 athletes.
The Paralympic is a big platform for athletes with disabilities to show their skills.
