Central Govt Launch a New Campaign Darwaza Band (दरवाजा बंद)
The Modi government launched a new campaign, Darwaza Band, for the promotion of toilet usages in the rural areas all over the country. Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar for Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis launched the campaign at the event held in Mumbai.
Highlights About The Campaign:
*The campaign Darwaza Band will be running under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
*Darwaja Band campaign stands for shutting the door on open defecation.
*The campaign is supported by the World Bank.
*The campaign is aimed to bring about a behavior change in men and women who have toilets but are not using them.
*This campaign will lead by the Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan.
*The campaign also leads by actress, Anushka Sharma, who will be seen encouraging women to stand up for this issue in their villages and assume a leadership role.
